Atlas, the most favored member of our family says Hi and is doing extremely well. We still wake up at night and look at the sweet face and think...how did we all get so lucky? It was, of course, because of all the hard work that you and your volunteers had done on behalf of Atlas and his fellow dog companions. You not only saved their lives, but fostered, cared for, gave necessary medical treatment, grooming, records and health tips, updated your website, screened for homes and then made the difficult journey to place these wonderful animals. I probably missed a few things but Russ and I wanted you to know we are so grateful that there are people like you and your team who help to make the world a better place.
Atlas has surpassed all expectations. He may in fact be the most amazing dog we have ever had. The character description was exactly right...lots and lots of energy but he is worth every minute. We wake up laughing and smiling once again. Please tell the foster mom he is getting his 45 minute walk at 7:30 am and 3:00 pm and we will always think of them during that romp. Of course he demands several small walks in between. This is one funny dog.
I recently read an article in the paper about the woman trainer in L.A. who was responsible for the Jack Russell Terrier on Frasier (remember him?) and apparently, she adopted a dog a couple of summers ago from the Silicon Valley SPCA. That little mutt is a white terrier in her lastest movie Hotel for Dogs. She was the trainer for Marley and Me as well. Anyway, it turns out that the dog got lost on a road trip from Canada, but his family really didn't want him back!!! Now he's a movie star!!! I try to image what Atlas' circumstances were. I imagine it was a similar situation.
