Dear Doggie Protective Services,
As our first year with London comes to a conclusion, we write to you to share wonderful news. Since adopting her a year a ago, she a found her doggie spirit and is enjoying life to the fullest. Her favorite activity is chasing geese at the park, which is only seconded by our long walks at county parks. Currently she is training with Lisa to walk a half-marathon this September. We have been working on this for over 2 months now and she finishes eight miles and begs for a second round after a long nap. She has learned some tricks and she only preforms once and then requires a whole round of treats before she feels like doing them a second time. She sits, shakes, lays down, and sits up. Roll over is not her thing and so we have left the tricks at those four.
She is a very good traveler having flown twice to Louisville, KY. She did give us a scare our first trip, running out the door to look for us when the cleaning ladies came to Lisa's parents house. On our second trip we didn't take any chances and borrowed a large crate from friends so that when we weren't there she couldn't get out. She enjoys visiting other homes but is always glad when we get back to our place.
Her favorite treats are peanut butter better than ears but Greenies are a close second. She has gained weight and is now 18 lbs of muscle and the vet suggested we rename her Arnold after the governor. She is very athletic and will run, hike, and walk for hours, or she will sleep all day ready to play when we get home. Her coloring has changed. She is now very tan on top and white on the bottom. We joke that she is our ever toasting marshmallow. Her coat is very soft now and the only wirey fur is on her tail. She enjoys spending time at work with Benji and the cllege students can't seem to get enough of her.
Every day she is an inspiration for us to live life to the fullest and even when we have a bad day she knows how to make a funny face and lick us until we smile.
We want to thank you for allowing us the pleasure and joy of adopting her. We have attached a family portrait that was taken about a month ago. She loves posing for the camera as you will see.
Thank you again.
Sincerely and with love,
Lisa, Benji and London
