Hi Tera,
Thanks again for giving us the opportunity to adopt Remington. He's doing well, and is a really sweet, good natured dog. As you could probably see when we left, he was a little nervous and wanted to get back in your car. Not long after we left, his nervousness turned into excitement. After we got home, we let him explore the house and yard. He started eating within an hour of coming home with us. It didn't take him long to let us know he loves to have his belly rubbed!
He has made himself at home, but as you recommended, we haven't had him on any walks yet. He does have a little separation anxiety issue, but I think that would be expected, considering that his original owner(s) abandoned him. Moving his crate to our bedroom seemed to have helped.
I've attached a few photos. The first four were taken shortly after he came home with us.
Anyway, thanks again. Also, thanks for all you do in helping to save the lives of these wonderful pets!
Best Regards,
George, Yoko, Raymond, and Remington
I started walking him on Thursday. He's very good on a leash, and didn't get distracted by other dogs or people, although he was very interested in a St. Bernard that we passed. Some people remarked about how cute he is. I took him to the Corona dog park earlier today. Unfortunately, we were the only ones there. He had fun anyway, and got plenty of exercise once he finished sniffing the ground.
I recommended DPS to someone at work who's thinking of adopting because we had such a good experience.
Thanks again and best regards,
George, Yoko, and Raymond Ramlow (and Remington)
